Gold Peak Tea has typically been marketed to the general public and has a very laid-back southern feel. Several fast food chains like McDonald’s and Wendy’s sells Gold Peak Tea at their locations. This campaign aims to elevate the experience of Gold Peak for consumers. Bridgerton makes sense as a collaboration due to the elevated luxury feel of the show which also has slight casualness and flavors of modernity through recent costuming and music choices. The show has a lot of tea as well which makes the collaboration between Bridgerton and Gold Peak Tea make so much sense and be an exciting commercial and also other promotional material.
The phrase “Reach your peak” in context of Bridgerton harkens back to the scandalous conversations had in the show about the ladies ‘reaching their pinnacle’ with their husbands. This would be perhaps a lewd collaboration but one that I believe, done correctly and with tact, would be humorous, interesting, clever, and capture audiences.
Even without the angle of ‘reach your peak’/’reach your pinnacle’, this collaboration still has other avenues we could use instead if stakeholders wanted to go a different route and tone.
